  1. What to Know About the pH of Water? Whenever you are walking in your local grocery store, you will probably be surprised by the number of different types of bottled water you see. They all have to advertise something different, from spring water to vitamin-enriched and everything in between. Have you noticed that some bottles mention pH levels made from mineral water plant? You can carry a pH test with the help of Litmus paper. It is widely available in health food stores. Litmus paper is a sensitive strip of paper that changes its colour when it touches water-based liquids. Through the change in colour, you can roughly estimate the pH of the liquid. However, keep in mind that the actual pH of a liquid varies from what the results are.
