  1. YOUR SKYWARD How Much Money Is Left in My Budget? (Click to continue slides)

  2. Log in to Skyward as usual. Click on the Financial Management Tab.

  3. You will see three tabs. Click on the Account Management Tab.

  4. Click on Chart of Accounts Tab.

  5. The filters will show – make changes as needed. See the notes below. Click on the apply filter button when finished. Change fiscal year to the year you want to view using the dropdown box. If you want to view a general fund account, you need to select a view for operating statement (OS) accounts. If you want to look at a Trust Fund account, you need to change the view to balance sheet (BS) accounts.

  6. Your accounts should now be listed. If you do not see an account you believe you should be, please contact Kim at ext. 1820. To view your accounts with more information, such as the account names, look for the views and filters shown below. “OS” or operating statement accounts are general fund accounts. “BS” or balance sheets accounts are trust fund (activity) accounts. If you want detailed information, click on the right-pointing arrow on the left-hand side of the account number.

  7. A couple useful tools - Click on the right arrow to the left of the information you wish to access or to open all detail, select “Expand All”.

  8. Remember, negative balances in a trust account means there is money in the account. A positive balance in a trust account is not a good thing. Negative balances in a general fund account, means that account has been overspent.

  9. That’s pretty much it! If you have further questions or need help, call Kim at ext. 1820 or Jake at ext. 2805.
