  1. ITC presentation By Kenny Collins

  2. At Northwest Crossing we had a wonderful person come over to explain the history of the pioneers and the tools that they used, we really enjoyed it and had a lot of fun. We wish she could come again. Our wonderful explainer, her name was Joanne Demimg.

  3. Info about the presentation She explained things about the pioneers and handed out items to us from them. They were really cool to touch. She told us what the pioneers did and how they took care of themselves during winter and the long journey they had to take to get to the West and start a new life. Is that a scythe… Yep they used it to farm their crops.

  4. Items She let us look at items that she was showing which were very interesting. A big time favorite was the jumper, a little doll that you could carry and make it do flips, wave its arms and his legs.

  5. Pioneers Pioneers were people who traveled West to start a new life in the New World. They went in the 1700’s to the 1800’s. They formed the Oregon Trail and made it West. They made new states and cities and started farming. They used many farming tools for growing crops like corn.

  6. What is your favorite? Towards the end we all got in a huge line with our favorite item to take a picture with it, most people’s item were the jumper and the scythe.

  7. The end After the pictures we got to look at the items one more time, say thank you to our awesome explainer, and then we had to leave. It was a very fun experience!
