What is NATS-AID? • It is a group of past Natural Science Class Representatives providing TUTORING AND MENTORING SERVICES to Natural Science students by appointment or via emails. • Provides tutors and organizes study groups via Class Representatives. • Organizes Academic Success workshops during the year and distributes pamphlets on academic success tips. What are Class Reps? • Class Reps act as liaisons between fellow classmates and the instructor, NATS-AID Chair (Asma Fatehi), as well as the Director of Natural Science Division. Class reps are encouraged to ‘keep a pulse’ on the progress of the course and report to the Chair and the Director in a meeting per term each, and to the instructor. • They also help Study Group Facilitators facilitate the meeting of study groups, as well as relay information from NATS-AID to students. • It is a great personal development experience, as well as resume-booster! • If you are interested in volunteering for the position(s), please speak to the instructor. natsaid@yorku.ca 301 Bethune College
What are Study Group Facilitators? • Study Group Facilitators facilitate study groups created by the Class Reps by keeping in mind the availabilities of the students within the group. They also encourage a discussion of the course during the meetings. natsaid@yorku.ca 301 Bethune College
