The Basics • Why would I want to make a Powerpoint ? • Because my handwriting is sloppy! • Because I can really show What I know! • Because I lose a lot of papers! • So I can be as cool as Mr. D.
How Do I start? • Click on PROGRAMS • Click on MICROSOFT OFFICE • Click on POWERPOINT Voila—We can begin!
Click on Slide Layout • Go up to FORMAT (if needed) • Play around—Pick a background and click on it. • Do you like It? Keep it! • Don’t like it; Change it!
Let’s change design • Go up to FORMAT—Left click • Click Slide Design Pick a design you like, or hate, and then try a different one!
Let’s change colors • Go up to FORMAT and left click. • Click on Font: Play with it. • Get a different color. • To apply you have to make a text box around the words you want. stevedore

Let’s insert a Picture • Click on Insert • Click on Picture • Click either CLIP ART or • FROM FILE • Click once on the picture • Click on INSERT • CLICK AND DRAG
Let’s Import Sound • Click on Insert • Click on Movies and Sounds • Click Sound on File or Sound from clip organizer
