COMMUNICATION (CONTINUED) • Team’s web site, can be hosted by Mr. Kohn, used as primary means of communication • Google Groups, facebook • make sure that the location is setup for public viewing • web using WordPress • If you’re not using Mr. Kohn’s website let him know and give him the location so that he can link to your communication location
PARTS MANAGEMENT • To organize parts use zip lock baggies or other containers • Use First Choice to order additional parts free (has a limit) and you pay for shipping • Order in free parts (PVD’s) that will be in the KOP. If you don’t know what to order at least order a charger and a battery
WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT • We suggest that you use that you use WordPress • It’s free (open source) • It’s good for blogging & archiving the blog • It’s a good content management system (CMS) • There is great support for WordPress on YouTube as well as the WordPress tutorials • Mr. Kohn’s web hosting site supports and administers WordPress • If you want to have a website (and you do!!) email Mr. Kohn: dekohn@memphis.edu

WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT (CONTINUED) • Themes (standard layout and formatting) • Default is: Twenty Eleven 1.3 • Mr. Kohn uses: blend1.5 • Other themes can searched ‘wordpress themes free’ • Email Mr. Kohn with the theme name and URL and he will upload your selected theme
