Enhancing Ergonomics in Laboratory Workstations for Optimal Comfort and Safety
This guide provides essential ergonomic practices for laboratory workstations. To reduce fatigue and discomfort, stand when working at high surfaces and sit for low tasks. Use anti-fatigue mats or ErgoMates for prolonged standing, and alternate between sitting and standing. Keep your workspace clear to allow for comfortable legroom. Ensure proper arm support by padding edges and using low containers. Strategically plan your workstation layout to prevent excessive reaching.
