  1. “Son of God & Man” Matthew 16:13-16

  2. Matthew 16:13-16 • A question we all have to answer… • “Who do you say that I am?”

  3. Matthew 16:16 • Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

  4. "Son of" - Signifies Origin • Yet, John 1:1-3 • In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. • Fully God!

  5. But, Matthew 16:13b • He asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” • Hebrews 4:15 • 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.

  6. 1 John 4:2-3 • 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. Strong enough to trust Him and Near enough to Touch Him

  7. Philippians 2:5-9 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name

  8. Who do You say that I am?
