  8. We Must Be… • Sons of God • Relationship with God • Partake of divine nature, 2 Pet. 1:4 • Born of God through faith, not flesh, Jno. 1:12-13; Gal. 3:26-27 (Jas. 1:18)

  9. We Must… • Live like God’s sons for blessings • Come out of world, 2 Cor. 6:17-18 • Peacemaker, Matt. 5:9 • Love like Father loves, Matt. 5:43-45 • Like Christ in all things, Gal. 2:20 • God deals with us as sons, disciplining us for good, Heb. 12:7

  10. We Must Be… • Sons of light, Jno. 12:36 • Light is a symbol of knowledge & truth • Follow the light of Christ,Jno. 8:12 • Bear the fruit of the Spirit,Eph. 5:7-10 • Watchful (spiritually alert),1 Ths. 5:4-6 • Careful to live by the light of truth (God’s word),Lk. 11:34-36

  11. We Must Be… • Sons of peace, Luke 10:6 • Live peaceably, Rom. 12:18 • Remove every obstacle to peace • Hate, resentment, jealousy, envy, strife…

  12. We Must Not Be… • Sons of this world, Luke 16:8 • Love this world, 1 Jno. 2:15-17 • Will perish with the world

  13. We Must Not Be… • Sons of disobedience, Eph. 2:2 • Under the influence of Satan, Eph. 5:6 • Keep the word of Jesus to not see death, Jno. 8:51

  14. We Must Not Be… • Sons of the wicked one, Matt. 13:38 • This person desires & does the will of Satan, Jno. 8:44 • When one lives in sin he has the traits of Satan

  15. Jesus, the Son of God… • Makes it possible for you to be a son of God through faith in Him, Gal. 3:26 • Whose son are you right now: • Son of God? or Son of Satan? • Who will you put your faith in? (Jno. 1:12) • Whose son will you be?
