  2. Programme Structure Students may take up to two courses from other Master’s programs to count towards the Elective requirements

  3. Course Schedule • Semester 1 * = Day course. Can be taken by part-time students if desired. ** = Open to part-time students only for Semester 1.

  4. Tentative Course Schedule • Semester 2 * = Day course. Can be taken by part-time students.

  5. Registration Issues • Dates • 31 August to 9 September 2010 • Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis • Foundation and Elective courses • Advisable to take Foundation courses first if possible, but not mandatory • Not fulfilling Foundation requirements will prevent you from graduating • Most courses do not have prerequisites but check with instructors if in doubt

Registration Issues • Some classes are full • Not being able to register for some classes happens every semester • As registration is done on a first-come-first-served basis, students who are slower will be left out • Some students over-register for courses and will drop courses in the second week of the add/drop period

Registration Issues • What do you do? • Don’t panic! • Don’t hound the course instructor • Take other courses • Constantly monitor the class sizes on GSLink • Attend classes during add/drop even if not registered yet as vacancies may open up • Carefully plan your time-table • Don't over-register for courses
