  4. La Bandera The flag consists of a big yellow stripe on the top of the flag, and blue and red stripes following Yellow represents the gold found in the Colombian Land Blue represents the seas on Colombia’s shore Red represents the blood shed on battle grounds to claim their freedom

  5. Comida: Tostones Tostones is a popular side dish served in Colombia. It is made from slice green plantains which are fried two times.

  6. Persona: Juan Pablo Montoya Juan Pablo Montoya is a famous Nascar race driver. He drives the number 42 car that is sponsored by Target.

  7. Pasatiempo: Futbol Soccer is a team sport involving a spherical ball that can be kicked into a net. Soccer consists of two teams with 11 players on the field for each team. The teams also have 1 goalie that try to stop the ball from going into the net. (The goalie is included as one of the 11 players on the field)

  8. Otro: The Presidential Palace The Presidential Palace is where Juan Manuel Santos lives. Santos is the president of Colombia. Colombia’s Presidential Palace is like America’s White House.
