  1. Portable Lab Instructions In the FACS classroom

  2. first • You will have a number assigned to you. Always use the book and computer with that number. Alert your teacher if your computer or book have problems. • Computers and books need to be put away in numerical order so we can make sure they are all accounted for every day. • This allows the teacher to identify who is responsible for damage and to identify which computers need repair, are lost, or stolen.

  3. second • Get your computer and cord from the shelf. • It should have been put away on the correct shelf with the cord wound neatly and plugged in. • If not, it looks really messy! It’s hard to find your computer and to Get it out of the cart easily.

  4. third • Only a few people should put their computer away at a time or it’s too crowded. • Wind your cord neatly in a zig-zag pattern. • Shut down your computer. • Place it on the shelf with the same number, with the hinge facing you. • Slide the computer all the way to the back of the shelf. • Plug the cord into the computer. • Place the cord on the shelf and slide the shelf in. • Plug the cord into the outlet.

  7. Portable Lab Contract I understand that I will be allowed to use a school laptop computer. The computers in the portable lab need to be charged when not in use. I will roll up the cord neatly and secure it with the Velcro strap. I will place the computer on the shelf with the corresponding number and plug the cord into the charger and into the computer. Print and sign your name and turn it in.
