  4. My Final Project For my final project I picked it to base it on the archetypes found within a hero’s journey. When we learned about these monomyths in class I was extremely interested in them because it was something totally new to me. So while deciding to construct my final project I thought I could incorporate something from my life into the theme of the class. I love animals, and cats are my favorite animal. Therefore, I thought that not only do humans experience archetypes but so do animals as well. So for my final project I chose to find examples of archetypes found in cats.

  5. The Innocent Archetype The Innocent archetype is the part that has faith and wants to remain in safety. The Innocent fears abandonment, but trusts others and tries to see the best in others.

  6. The Orphan Archetype The Orphan archetypes main goal is to remain safe. Their gift is realism of the world. The Orphan archetype fears abandonment and betrayal.

  7. The Warrior Archetype The Warrior archetype is very courageous and will do anything to win. The Warrior archetype wants to slay the dragon but fears weakness.

  8. The Caregiver Archetype The Caregiver archetype loves to help others and has generosity for others. The caregiver is like a parent that gives attention and is very loving, but fears selfishness.

  9. The Seeker Archetype The seeker archetype looks for a better life different from what it was before. The seeker archetype likes to look for better things and escape not so good things. They fear conformity.

  10. The Destroyer Archetype The destroyer archetype is looking to grow and by growing they have to learn sometimes they have to let things go or give them up. The destroyer archetypes main gift is that they accept mortality and will destroy or be destroyed.

  11. The Lover Archetype The lover archetypes goal is bliss. They fear the loss of love. The lover wants to love all others and is committed to passion.

  12. The Creator Archetype The Creator archetype is trying to create or look for a new world of any kind. The creator fears loss of imagination, and is very creative.

  13. The Ruler Archetype The Ruler archetype is usually one next in line to rule. They fear chaos and no control. The Ruler takes responsibility for everyone and does it very constructively.

  14. The Magician Archetype The Magician archetype wants to transform problems to make them better. The Magician archetype fears transforming problems to make them worse.

  15. The Sage Archetype The Sage archetype is about truth and learning. They fear deception. The Sage archetype likes to study and understand. They also contain much wisdom.

  16. The Fool Archetype The Fool archetype is all about pleasure and living life to it’s fullest. The Fool archetype fears boredom, and they live with happiness and freedom

  17. In Conclusion In conclusion, I have learned many things from this class about the monomyth and many archetypes. I have learned how the archetypes are incorporated in your life, and how they tie into the heroic monomyth.
