  2. I PETER 5:5-8 5 In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”

  3. CONTINUED… 6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

  4. IF I COULD JUST BE FREE! FREE FROM ANXIETY!

  5. DEFINING ANXIETY: The feeling of inner turmoil caused by uncertainty of a potential loss or failure.

  6. SOMEONE SAID: Anxiety is a meteor shower of what-ifs.

  8. Pride says “I got this.” Humility says “I don’t have this.”

  9. I PETER 5:6 6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

  11. HOW TO OVERCOME ANXIETY: 1. Let anxiety be the ping to pray.

  12. PHILIPPIANS 4:6 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

  13. HOW TO OVERCOME ANXIETY: 2. Establish a time and place to release your anxiety.

  14. HOW TO OVERCOME ANXIETY: 3. Control what you can control and let go of the rest.
