  9. Norms Group takes all meetings seriously When going over protocol and rules it is clearly stated and made sure everyone understands Also there is seriousness and compassion when group is discussing health of another colleague

  10. Deviants Defined as -Differing from a norm or from the accepted standards of a society -Drayer Physical Therapy however…

  11. Cohesiveness • Definition • Degree of which members of a group desire to remain in the group • Obstacles for Drayer • Large area encompassed • Multitude of trainers • Age range of employees

  12. Perceived Cohesion of Drayer Strong level of cohesiveness Members able to relate through experience Coming back to work each day

  13. Connectivity Degree to which multiple groups share overlapping goals or tasks Identified 3 subgroups Each subgroup has their own specific goals, but ultimately working together for the greater good of the business and the patients they serve

  14. How it Works In order for this to work there are forms of hierarchy at Drayer physical Therapy. Like most companies information comes from a headquarters and Drayer has a headquarters as well as many other locations. Without the management team it would be close to impossible to control the flow of information and other needs for Drayer in Altoona.

  15. Rules and Regulations While sitting on a meeting Marc Lintal informed the physical therapists of the new rules and guidelines This form of communication began with corporate, then it was sent to management, and lastly the therapist received the dialogue. Unfortunately this way of communication can sometimes be inefficient

  16. Embeddedness How does the group fit into the larger organizational structure? Drayer Physical Therapy can be described as having high embeddedness and connectivity
