  1. 150W LED FLooD Light At A gLAncE The 150W LED flood light used in both outdoor and indoor settings can easily replace a 400W metal- halide flood light to save on your power consumption and emit an intense, bright light. Along with a lumen output of around 20,000 and it’s availability in daywhite light color temperature, the type III lighting (150x85 degrees) makes it an excellent lighting fixture for warehouse, garage, parking lots, landscape lighting, sports lighting, signage lighting, security lighting etc. Despite all the good features, an LED flood light might not provide you with the kind of illumination level that you are looking for. And, this is because you might not be using it in the most appropriate manner. Here are some tips to let you extract the best out of your 150W LED flood light fixture. rEmEmbEr, brightEr DoEsn’t ALWAys mEAn bEttEr Let’s say, you want to illuminate a specific object or an area rather than the whole interior of any garage or warehouse and the existing lumen output turns out to be in excess of your application. What’s going to happen? Why would you want to have 20,000 lumens, if 10,000 lumens would be good enough to illuminate an area? Isn’t this a waste of light? Do perform a photometric analysis of the area you wish to illuminate and then choose the flood light. Wrong Positioning oF FLooD Light Make sure you have your LED flood light placed rightly. Mounting the flood light horizontally when vertical mounting would make more sense, would be the most wrong thing to do. Or, placing two LED flood lights too close together, when evenly spacing out for more uniform illumination would make more sense. You don’t want o have unnecessary glare because of too much light. incorrEct usE oF Light controLLErs Having a light controller such as photocell or motion sensor installed externally, at a right angle, and little away from the lighting fixture would be more beneficial than the one that’s in-built and this is so because even when a passerby is far away from LED flood light fixture, the light can turn On instantly. Mounting such light controllers separately helps always! How To Increase THe effecTIveness of 150W LED FLooD Light FixturE?
