  2. What reason can a president, vice president and civil officers of the U.S be impeached from office? • The president, Vice president and civil officers of the U.S can be removed from office if convicted of treason, bribery or other high crimes and misdemeanors.

  3. Define treason as included in the constitution. Find and describe the case of the person most recently tried for treason against the U.S? • Treason- the crime of betraying ones country, especially by attempting to kill the sovereign or overthrow the government. (google.com) • Most recent case of treason in the U.S : TomoyaKawakita, a Japanese – American sentenced to death in 1952 for tormenting american prisoners of war during World War II. President Eisenhower commuted Kawakitas sentence to life imprisonment. (cbsnews.com)

  4. Define bribery as included in the constitution. • The offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting of something of value for the purpose of influencing the action of an official in the discharge of his or her public or legal duties. (google.com)

  5. What can be considered a high crime? • Abusive power and serious misconduct in office can be considered a high crime (infoplease.com)

  6. Who were the only two presidents impeached? • Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton were the only two presidents to be impeached. Andrew Johnson was impeached because he assumed the presidency uponed the death of Abraham Lincoln. Bill Clinton was impeached because he was accused of lying under oath.
