  23. Yep – It’s Ok

  24. Printing Lists

  25. The Process – For the Staff • Staff go to the locations on the wrappers and pull the materials. • Next, the materials are checked in. • The materials are set on the hold shelves awaiting patron retrieval OR put in the queue for On Campus Delivery.

  26. On Campus Delivery • Departments must fill out agreement forms in advance of any departmental deliveries. • Designation of responsible to sign for delivery. • ILL material also delivered. • Delivery is once a day (early afternoon). • Will deliver media (booking) material for class.

  27. Turn Around Time Via Email – settings give notice at 6:00am the next day regardless of staff retrieval time and check-in. Via Text Messaging – Instantaneous upon retrieval and check-in.

  28. Benefits • Alleviated need for the searching form • Streamlined procedures for allowing missing materials to be ordered through ILL due to pull procedures • Integrated ILL into the on campus delivery process • PATRON SATISFACTION

  29. Challenges • Patron Education – I just hit the ‘request’ button five minutes ago. • Faculty feel students are losing the skill set to retrieve their own material. • Students miss the opportunity to find other treasures in the stacks. • If a hold is placed on materials through this process and another patron pulls the material prior to our retrieval…

  30. Thanks!
