Application at partner university: steps • Nomination by International Office: • Radboudwide partners, Birmingham/Sussex/University of Leeds  IO Central (Rob van Leeuwen) • Faculty partners  IO Arts • Nomination accepted by partner university • Application instructions by partner university (check their website) • Apply yourself at the partner university • MEET THEIR DEADLINES AND CRITERIA! Application at partner university: whattoexpect? • Collect documents: • Transcript of records: grade overview, signed and stamped by STIP. • Learning Agreement, signed by you and the departmental coordinator of your study programme. • [Optional] Proof of English: nomination letter/statement (please request this via internationaloffice@let.ru.nl), OOPT, something else? • … • Make arrangements/apply for: • Housing • Orientation • Insurance • Special needs during your study abroad (exams), if applicable

Erasmus+ grant • Erasmus+ programme: study at a partner university within the European Union (all EU-Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, North-Macedonia, Serbia and Turkey). • As an Erasmus+ student you receive an allowance to cover the additional travel and living expenses of your stay abroad: the Erasmus+ grant. • Is the grant available? Check the eligibility criteria 2019/2020. • The grant amounts are a.o. linked to the country of destination. The actual grant is calculated on the basis of the number of days that you spend abroad. More information about the amounts.

Erasmus+ grant: how to apply International Office Faculty of Arts selected you for the grant [DONE] For students to the UK: • Wait for decisions about the Brexit: we don’t know anything at the moment. • Central IO will inform you as soon as the Brexit plans are clear(er). • Read the email from central IO (erasmus@io.ru.nl) about the application process. Non-UK: mid-April, UK: ?? • Follow the instructions: fill in the online application. • Send your Grant Agreement and Learning Agreement (completely signed) • Take the online language test and arrange your public transport allowance abroad (form to be send by central IO). • Wait for the Erasmus+ allocation letter.  Deadline for completion: 2 weeks before you leave. • During and after your stay abroad you will receive emails with steps you need to take for the grant. Check your RU email while you’re abroad!! • More information can be found here.

  13. The examination board • The examination board has to approve of your courses abroad. • The examination board has to approve of the grade conversion upon return. Approval courses (before study abroad): Send a request for approval of external courses, including course codes, course names and ECTS. Attach the signed Learning Agreement. Approval for changes (during study abroad): Send a request for approval of the changes, including the codes, names and ECTS of the new courses. Attach the signed Learning Agreement and signed During the Mobility Form. Grade conversion (after study abroad): Send a request with the final codes, courses, ECTS and results. Attach the Learning Agreement, if applicable During the Mobility forms, Conversion form (signed by study abroad coordinator) and Transcript of Records from partner university.

Radboud Beyond Borders: 15 – 18 April, 2019 The Faculty of Arts organizes: • Sessions by study abroad coordinators: how to fit in in your new country as a Faculty of Arts students • Session by students for students: ask all questions about how to adapt, home sickness, contact with friends and family at home, etc. • Fair in the Erasmus hall with booklets and videos from partner universities as well as students who went abroad already.  Check our website in the beginning of April.
