  1. All About Lion The Lion is an endangered animal. This PowerPoint will give you information about where a Lion lives, what a Lion likes to eat, the early stages of a Lion’s life, why they are endangered, and how they are getting help. By: Carter Bruce Mr.Erickson 3rd grade

  2. Where a Lion Lives • Lions live in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Botswana, southwest Africa, south Africa, and Angola • Live in grassland, woodlands, and dry areas

  3. What a Lion Likes To Eat • Lions are carnivores • Lions kill cheetahs, leopards, antelope, zebras, and many other animals

  4. A Lion’sEarly Stages of Life • The mom carries her babies from two to four years old • The spotted cubs are blind for one week after birth • The mom and dad lions keep their cubs safe because they have many predators • If the cubs are left alone they could get killed by wild dogs leopards or other lions

  5. Why Lions Are Endangered • There are less than 21,000 lions remaining • The lion habitat is disappearing • In Africa the human population is changing the grassy plains, the lion habitat, into farm land

  6. How Lions Are Getting Help • African wildlife parks protect many lions • Law against poaching lions
