Mid-year Changes (2010-2011) • ISIR Data: Iraq/Afghanistan Service Grant Eligibility Screening • Implemented in May 2010 • Compare CPS and DoD Databases • New ISIR that includes… • DoD Match Flag (‘Y’ or BLANK); • Parent/Guardian’s Date of Death; and • Comment Code #298 • Use ALL elements to determine eligibility • FAFSA On The Web Enhancements • ‘Are You Male or Female?’ • Question relocated (numerous omissions) • Implemented in February 2010 4

Mid-year Changes (2010-2011) • IRS Data Retrieval Process • Implemented September 2010 • Electronic Announcement dated September 23, 2010 • Modifications • FAFSA On The Web • Process expanded to include applicants using Spanish FAFSA On The Web • Same procedures for navigating to the IRS Website and transferring data • IRS Website in English initially • Spanish version of IRS Website to implemented in December 2010 5

Mid-year Changes (2010-2011) • IRS Data Retrieval Process • Modifications • ISIR Output: Includes Two New Items • Student IRS Request Flag; and • Parents IRS Request Flag • Values • 00 = No Transfer to IRS Database • 01 = Transfer to IRS, but no data retrieved • 02 = Data retrieved; not changed • 03 = Data retrieved; changed prior to submission • 04 = Data retrieved; corrected via a new ISIR Transaction 6
