  2. Three Element Aerofoil Euler Reconstruction. Problem Definition: • Rebuild from scratch the pressure distributions that approximately fit the target pressure distributions of a three element aerofoil set. • Flow Conditions - Euler Flow, Mach 0.2, Angle of Attack 17 deg • The flap and slat can move 30 deg CW or CCW and +/- 0.05 in x, y directions • The fitness function is the point by point pressure difference:

  3. CFD Solver • Flow is treated as two dimensional, viscous and is calculated using B. Mohammadi code NSC2ke • The solver uses unstructured mesh which are generated using bamg .[ref] • The computations stop when the 2-norm of the residual falls below a prescribed limit, in this case B Mohammadi "Fluid dynamics computation with NSC2KE : an user-guide : release 1.0" , INRIA (Natl Inst Res Comp & Ctl Sci, France), 94.
