  5. Adult Target Populations Specified by Community Planning Committee • Caregivers of children 0-5 • All Adults for Lifelong Learning -- SENIORS • Everyone for Express Creativity

Frankfort Library Goals • Caregivers of children 0-5 years will have the training and materials they need to prepare children to be successful learners. • Decided would NOT be able to reach 5% of this group with adult programming • Adults will have the resources they need to explore topics of personal, professional and vocational interest and to become passionate learners throughout their lives.

Frankfort Library Goals • Everyone will have the opportunities to express themselves by creating original works of art, print, video, audio or virtual content in a real world or online environment. • Everyone will experience art that enriches their lives and instills an appreciation of the arts.

  10. Success Factors • Pay attention to demographics • If it works—Lather, Rinse, Repeat • Use free speakers, but pay if you think it’s a good gamble (but don’t pay a lot) • Use speakers with a local following—The “Good” effect • Take risks • Collaborate

  11. BROWN BAG LUNCH SERIES • A monthly program started in 2001 • 100+ programs and counting • Held at noon on the first Wednesday of each month • In comfortable and casual setting: Harry’s Coffee Bar, the library’s coffee shop • A wide variety of speakers and topics
