  7. Indulgence • An indulgence granted by authority of the Pope by Johann Tetzel in 1517. The text reads: "By the authority of all the saints, and in mercy towards you, I absolve you from all sins and misdeeds and remit all punishments for ten days."

  10. Who Am I? • Everyone will receive a name tag • These names will be different people from the Reformation • Your job (without cheating) is to figure out who you are by asking your classmates a series of questions • Even if someone guesses right, do not tell them if they are correct

  11. Only Questions You Can Ask • Am I Catholic? • Am I Protestant? • Am I a Christian? • Does anything bad happen to me? • Do I do anything bad?

  12. Mock Council of Trent • This activity is not intended to change anyone’s religious views • For our purposes, Protestants and Catholics will attend the council • 1’s will be Lutheran, 2’s will be Calvinists, 3’s will be Zwingli and 4’s will be Catholics • Your job is to determine 4 things you stand for in your respective religion (also include any books important to your faith) • You will have about 10 minutes to prepare and then each religion will take turns pleading their case • Make sure everyone is actively involved in the presentation
