  4. Common strategies… Use Signals to refocus students’ attention Hmm… Must be free time Examples: • Raise your hand and students follow suit • Switch light on and off • Call and Response

  5. Common Strategies… Disruptive Students • Should sit separately from each other While in the process of disruptive behavior • Use eye contact • Stand near the student(s) • Ask them questions about the lesson • If necessary, involve parents
