  2. Lesson # Nine Preaching Jesus As Lord And Christ “Jesus Christ as JUDGE”

Jesus Christ As JUDGE • John 5:22 "For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, (NKJV) • John 5:26 "For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, 27 "and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man. (NKJV) • Acts 17:31 "because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead." (NKJV)

  4. It Will Come!!! • We are put here for a purpose, and every work will be brought into judgment – (Eccl. 12:7,13,14a) • All Nations WILL appear, Jesus WILL sit on His throne – (Matthew 25:31-46) • After death – (Hebrews 9:27) • As a thief, the last day, – (2 Peter 3:1-14) • An appointed day – (Acts 17:30,31)

  5. It Will Be Inescapable!!! • All will hear his voice and come forth – (John 5:28,29) • All must appear before the judgment seat of Christ – (2 Corinthians 5:10) • Each one will give an account – (Romans 14:10-12) • Those who neglect salvation will NOT escape! – (Hebrews 2:3)

  6. All Things Will Be Made Known - Eccl. 12:14 (NKJV) For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil.

  7. All Things Will Be Made Known - Hebrews 4:13 (NKJV) And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

  8. It Will Be According To Truth – Romans 2:1-16 • The impenitent will not escape the condemnation of God – (vrs.1-3) • If you are condemned it will be your own fault – (vrs 4,5) • According to our deeds – (vrs 6-10) • NO partiality with God – (vrs 11) • By God’s standard – (vrs 12-16)

  9. It Will Be Final - • Heaven and Hell are real places – (John 14:1-6; Mark 9:43-49) • The righteous will receive everlasting life in heaven, but the wicked, everlasting punishment in hell – (Matthew 25:46) • Rest and glorification for believers, but everlasting punishment for those who do NOT obey the gospel – (2 Thessalonians 1:7-9)

  10. You Are There . . . (Rom. 14:12) • What did you do with your body? • What did you do with your mind? • What was your attitude toward God and His word, and His people? • What was your focus in life? • Where were your priorities? • What influence did you have on your neighbors? • Who did you bring to the Lord?

Will it be a day of rejoicing for you – Or a day of terror? “I have set before your life and death, therefore, choose life .” Deut. 30:19 “Choose this day whom you will serve” Joshua 24:15 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. [vrs 14] Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14

  12. The day of judgment Will Come!!! • The day of judgment will Be Inescapable!!! • All Things Will Be Made Known – • It Will Be According To Truth • It Will Be Final – • If you were called to meet your Lord today – where would you spend all eternity????

Matthew 25:34 (NKJV) Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: Matthew 25:41 (NKJV) Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:
