Funding Project Examples • Town of Oyster Bay NYFacilities Upgrade • 1st Project: • Upgrade of banquet facilities to bring in more revenues • Funded the concessionaire upfront $5million to upgrade the 100 year old mansion • Town is paying for it over time, but not beginning until the renovations were completed • This transaction was not available through traditional sources • 2nd Project: • Funding for restaurant upgrade and boating facilities on the strip near the public beach • 3rd Project: • Now in the process of funding a third upgrade to the Town’s tourist facilities

  11. “Storm Sandy Causes Power Outages To Hospitals In The Northeast” • GEF is funding the energy retrofit and upgrades to these hospitals to prevent unforeseen power outages from reoccurring. •  This example may apply to any fortune 500, City, University or other large entity in need of an energy savings and retrofit installation. • The payments are structured to be less than the energy savings over time, creating a positive return on investment with no out of pocket cost to the hospital • Win-win situation for the vendor and the hospital that is realizing savings on energy costs over time (savings of budgetary dollars.)
