Hydraulics/Hydrology (the science) Peak Inflow 2 yr = 1145 cfs (3 in) 10 yr = 2186 cfs (5.4 in) 25 yr = 2873 cfs (6.7 in) 100 yr = 4191 cfs (9.2 in) "One-hundred-year storm" means the storm which is estimated to have a one percent chance, or one chance in 100, of being equaled or exceeded in one year.

Lake Como’s Effect on SMRSA • Twopump stations devastated (Lake Como & Pitney Ave) • Loss of Service for seven days • $ 2.88 million in damages (Sandy) • $ .963 million in damages over past seven years (LC PS) • and….. Potential flooding of WWTP which issurrounded by major contributory to Lake Como.
Add Sea Level Rise Does not include other effects of Climate Change i.e.( increased rainfall intensities, etc.)
Temp Emergency Measures • 80 MGD pump system(123.79 cfs) since removed • Temp PVC outfall line (40 cfs) • Four 18” DIP pump discharge lines installed beneath Ocean Ave
