This study presents the alignment of the C. muridarum major outer membrane protein (MOMP) encoded by ompA, specifically from the Nigg strain, CmVar001, and CmVar004 variants. Comparative genome sequence analyses reveal nine SNPs and indels within the ompA gene, crucial for understanding the genetic diversity among these strains. Key features include conserved and novel cysteine residues marked in red, variable domains (VD1-4) in blue, and amino acid deletions highlighted in black, providing insights into the evolutionary adaptations of MOMP.

Comparative genome sequence analyses of different variants showed 9 SNPs and indels in ompA gene which encodes MOMP protein. Conserved and novel cysteine residues are highlighted in red. Variable domains (VD1-4) are highlighted in blue. Amino acid deletions are highlighted in black
