4.1 Determine types of resources and considerations for responsible use. Standards
Imagine you are Webster’s son or daughter. He has left you with the responsibility of forming definitions for words. On your own paper and without getting help from your neighbor, write a new definition of “resource.” Don’t worry if you have it perfect or if it is what Webster would have written. Make it your own. • Going clockwise, pass the definition 1 time around your group. Read your neighbor’s definition. Now imagine you are Webster’s critic. Write a short critique of your neighbor’s definition. What would you have included in their definition? • Repeat the previous process until you have critiqued everyone’s definition in your group. • As a group formulate what you believe is the best definition of “resource” • Share with the class What are Resources?
Each group will list types of resources. • You will have 2 minutes to come up with as many as possible. • The group with the most wins! Listing Competition
Each group will pick 1 type of resource. • You will then create a skit that shows responsible use of that resource. Group Skits
