  11. In the past decades, working conditions in Latin America have improved. Between 2003 and 2010, in Costa Rica the number of better paying positions offered to high school graduates has almost tripled. General sentences sum up, explain, or evaluate a number of different people, events, ideas, or experiences. They can be understood in different ways by different readers. Specific sentences focus on a smaller number of people, events, ideas, or experiences. They are open to fewer interpretations.
