Investigating the Role of p16 and CDK4 in Latent HIV Infection in LTNP Individuals

This study explores the molecular mechanisms involving p16 and cyclin-dependent kinase 4 (CDK4) in individuals classified as long-term non-progressors (LTNP) infected with HIV. Using 293T cell line models and Western blotting (WCE), we examine the expression levels of p16 and its interactions with specific proteins including HAART. Our findings aim to provide insights into the negative regulatory pathways that maintain viral latency and could inform future therapeutic strategies for HIV management.
