  2. Characters in Chapter 1 • Chris- graduated high school student who rode his bike across the country with Win • Win- graduated high school student who rode his bike across the country with Chris and now is missing • Abe Ward- FBI agent trying to find Win

  3. Chapter 1 • Chris is attempting to get back into his dorm with his bike • Chris gets a emergency letter from his mom • FBI agent (Mr. Ward) is waiting for Chris outside his dorm • FBI agent asks questions about Win’s disappearance

  4. Characters in Chapter 2 • Mrs. Collins- Chris’s mom • Mr. Collins- Chris’s dad • Mr. Coggans- Win’s dad, CEO of Titan Industries

  5. Chapter 2 • 3 weeks after graduation • Mrs. Collins is trying to get Chris a job at K-Mart • Chris tells his mom that him and Win want to go on a bike trip across the country • Mrs. Collins and Chris have a conversation about how Win can’t be taken seriously about anything

  6. Chapter 3 • Ward (the FBI agent) is asking Chris questions why he didn’t know about Win’s fake uncle • Chris talks about Chris and Win plan about riding across the country on their bikes

  7. Characters in Chapter 4 • Principle Keller- Chris and Win’s high school Principle • Alicia Bivins- popular student at Chris’s high school • Dave Anders- popular football player at Chris’s high school

  8. Chapter 4 • Practicing for graduation • Chris and Win goes to Mr. Coggans office, over hears him screaming at a senator, and Mr. Coggans gives Win money to buy a new bike • Win rips it up and throws it in the garbage • Chris and Win start packing for the trip
