Photo Download • iPhoto generally runs up upon USB connection • Download the photos • In the finder, log on and navigate to the photos archive area • Alias the folders of the photos downloaded into the finder window sidebar • Drag and drop from iPhoto • “Last Roll” shows most recent download session • You can remove the aliased folders when finished to prevent clutter

  3. Page Layout Log on Run InDesign Best not to run it by clicking a document; best to open the document within the program Open the template; save to the deadline folder

  4. Page Layout Layout the page Photos and headers first Make the photos “whole” sizes Photo captions Set size policy now Body copy text boxes Set size policy now Folios Consider adding to template

  5. Page Layout A word about fonts policy Get photo box dimensions

  6. Photo Processing Run PhotoShop Navigate to and open photos in the page “area” folders Select the photo and crop to the photo box dimension Rescale photo if necessary Image->Adjustment->Levels Right-Left-Center

  7. Photo Processing Unsharp Mask Save to Deadline folder as TIFF

  8. Photo Placement In InDesign Click target photobox File->Place or Command-D
