  2. The Committe • The MidNordic Region is a geografic area on three Nordic countries. The Mid Nordic Committe is a nordic borderorganisation which has lead the co-operation on the region for almost 30 years • Founded in 1978 • Is financed by membership fees and support of the Nordic Council of Ministers • There are 8 border regions in Norden

  3. Members/partners The Midnordic Committe: • Norway: North- and South-Tröndelag • Sweden: Jämtland and Västernorrland • Finland: Ostrobothnia, South Ostrobothnia and Central Finland • Approx. 1,5 million inhabitants • New members/partners incoming

The work is based on common history and culture and mutual interest of regional development. • Four priority topics: • Innovative environments • East-west communications • Culture and creative industries • Energy and renewable resources
