  14. Example Year 9 Timetable SETTING Most classes are set by ability. Exception are PE and expressive arts rotation. MATHS / ENGLISH set across whole year group. Other subjects set across half year groups.

  16. National CurriculumLevels Good progress is moving up 2 levels from beginning of Year 7 to the end of Year 9 Levels are further broken down into sub-levels 4a – High Level 4 4b – Middle level 4 4c – Low Level 4

  19. Year 9 Options • W/b 11th March - Options booklets issued • Wed 20th March – Options Evening • EASTER HOLIDAYS • Wed 17th April – Deadline for return of Options forms

  20. End of the year • March onwards • Assessments to determine end of KS3 levels • June Exams • GCSE Statistics • Short Course PE • Maths and English begin 2 year GCSE courses in order to complete by November of Y11 • Monday 1st July – End of KS3 Teacher Assessment issued to parents
