  1. AMC MCQ Examination FAQs What is an MCQ Examination Authorization? Once you apply and pay for the MCQ exam, you will receive an authorization to schedule an MCQ exam within a 12 month window. You will be sent a list of exam dates that you can choose from. Failure to schedule and sit for at least one examination within the 12 month window will see you forfeit the exam fee. How Do I Receive an MCQ Examination Authorization? Apply via the online portal here. You can also send an email to mcq@amc.org.au. How Much Does an MCQ Authorization Cost? All fees are documented on the fees and charges webpage. What Are the Locations and Dates for the MCQ exam? The locations and dates are as indicated on the AMC website. Note however that new exam dates may be added throughout the year. It is thus imperative that you check the website regularly to stay abreast of new dates that are within your MCQ examination authorization window. How Can I Schedule an Exam? A downloadable guide on the website details how you can go about scheduling the MCQ exam. Can I Reschedule the Examination? You can reschedule your current MCQ exam but only as long as that is done before the cut-off date. After the cut-off date has passed, extensions, cancellations or rescheduling will not be allowed. For the CAT MCQ exam, rescheduling will require that the candidate contact Pearson VUE to obtain a new exam date and venue. Can I Extend My Examination Authorization?

  2. There will be no extensions for MCQ exam authorization. The 12 month window is considered enough time for each candidate to resolve any visa issues that may arise. There’s also plenty of time to reschedule within this time frame. Is It Possible For A Candidate To Cancel Their Authorization? You can cancel your MCQ examination authorization but this is only permitted under extraordinary circumstances. The cancellation must receive approval from the section MCQ manager. The cancellation request should be accompanied by supporting documents. The documentation would include a statutory declaration justifying the cancellation or a certificate from a healthcare provider indicating the medical condition that necessitates the cancellation. A fee for the cancellation will apply. How Can One Apply For The Visa? Candidates outside Australia must get in touch with the local Australian high commission or embassy. The reason for the 12 month authorization window is not only to give candidates ample time to prepare for the exam or reschedule, but also sufficient time to apply for a visa. If the visa fails to arrive by the cutoff date of your schedule examination, you can reschedule. Note that visa issues are not considered an acceptable reason for cancelling an MCQ authorization. For additional information on Australian visas, see the official immigration website. I Do Not Have an Entrance Ticket Entrance tickets are no longer issued to MCQ examination candidates. Do I Need To Carry Any Identification? The AMC website and the Pearson VUE email you receive will indicate the identification required for sitting the MCQ exam.
