  1. Thank you Rhame Family Foundation From Mrs. Quinn’s 2nd Grade Class at Sagamore Hills Elementary School

  2. The Trash Can By William Klein

  3. Mr. Black was an excellent detective. He had been thinking about retirement for a very long time. Then he had a mysterious client. He decided to take one last case.

  4. He needed to get to his mysterious client’s house. He needed to use his rocket skateboard. His client lived on 1932 Saint Rd. He was getting close.

  5. Mr. Black drove carefully toward the dark house. He finally noticed the side door was ajar. He very slowly entered the dark house. He started to explore. He saw a little room that was painted blue. He decided to explore further into the room.

  6. After he entered the little room he saw a little green gun on a pile of old toys. A very young boy jumped out of the pile of old toys. The boy grabbed the gun and pulled the trigger. The beam that came out of the gun hit Mr. Black and miniaturized him. It felt like someone was tickling him.

  7. The boy picked up Mr. Black and a brown dart and taped them together. “This will be a fun dart,” said the young boy. Then he dropped the brown dart and it broke.

  8. “Too bad,” said the boy, “I’ll throw you in the orange trash can.” When Mr. Black fell in the trashcan the sticky tape broke. He promptly ran. Then he heard a rustling noise in a pile of trash.

  9. A woman made the rustling noise. Mr. Black and the woman stared at each other. They slowly approached each other. “My name is Mrs. Red,” said the woman. “My name is Mr. Black,” said Mr. Black.

  10. They decided to explore the orange trashcan. “We need to be prepared,” said Mrs. Red, while pulling a sword out of her purse. Then they set off. They found two paths.

  11. They took the left path and after half an hour they ended up where they started. They were very sad and disappointed. They talked a bit. They then decided something.

  12. Mr. Black and Mrs. Red decided to explore once again. They found the two trails and went the other way. After forty-five minutes they found a blue napkin.

  13. Under the blue napkin was a spy phone. Mr. Black picked it up. He and Mrs. Red ran to the lid and pressed the button to activate the beam that would take off the lid.

  14. They used the spy phone again to teleport out of the trash can. They were extremely happy after escaping. They talked and decided to use it again. Mr. Black and Mrs. Red picked up the spy phone.

  15. They used the spy phone to get big again. They talked for 25 minutes and then they separated. Mr. Black rode the rocket skateboard to his office in a skyscraper. He made a note in his case calendar. That was the end of Mr. Black’s last case and first adventure.
