  3. Classroom Rules • We follow directions quickly. • We raise our hand for permission to speak. • We raise our hand for permission to leave our seat. • We make smart choices. • We treat others the way we would like to be treated.

  4. Our Curriculum • Daily 5 • Promotes Balanced Literacy in the classroom. Students are motivated and engaged while continually working on reading and writing. • Read to Self, Read to Someone, Word Work, Working on Writing, Listening to Reading • Teacher is working with individual students or small groups of students.

  5. Writing Workshop • Mini-lessons • Writing Process • 4pt Rubric **We will begin learning cursive in January**

  7. Science Our science curriculum is provided by Erie 1 Boces. • Balancing and Weighing • Phase Changes • Lifecycles (Mealworms and Frogs) • National Geographic for Kids Field Trip: We will visit the Buffalo Zoo in May at the conclusion of our Lifecycles Unit.
