  2. Characters • Derek ,Rory, Bolivia , and Lucette

  3. Setting • The story took place at Woodside.

  4. Beginning • Derek and Rory agreed to attend a cookout for Bolivia. • At the cookout, they stuffed their faces with food so they would not have to talk to Bolivia.

  5. Middle • Derek and Rory were going to the pool. • Bolivia needed help to get Lucette. Lucette was her pet parrot. • The boys found out that Lucette was not a baby.

  6. End • They got a radio and turned it to country music. This was the only way they could catch Lucette. • Rory, Derek, and Bolivia got Lucette out of the tree. • The boys became Bolivia’s friend.

  7. Theme • Don’t judge someone before you get to know them. • Don’t be rude to others. • Try to be friends with everyone.
