  2. Well first of all if your Xbox in the box then take everything out and place it on a flat surface (table) like this:

  3. Plug the cord with the 3 color wires or HDMI cable in. They are red, yellow and white. First, put them into the back of the Xbox, then match the colors at the other end of the wires with the same colors that are on the back of the television.

  4. Take the other two cords and plug one end of each cord into the power brick.It is easy to see which cord goes where due to the shape and size.

  5. Take the other end and plug that in to an outlet in the wall. Most of the time there should be one behind the TV. This should also be prepared before getting your Xbox.

  6. Now that the wires are all hooked up, station your Xbox on a flat surface. You can now press the power button which is the big circular button on the right of the Xbox.

  7. There are 2 kinds of controllers, wireless and cord connected. To hook up a wireless controller you just hold the button with the “X” on it in the middle down until it lights up. Then you press the button on the back near the controller and the same one near the wired remote socket. A controller with the wire can be plugged in right from the power button.

  8. Finally, you can press the silver button on the left of the Xbox to open the disc tray and put in a game. Hit that same silver button again. You may now proceed by playing video games or movies.
