  3. Registration Deadlines • Online and in-person deadlines vary by part-of-term (full, 1st/2nd half, etc.) • Last day to add: 2nd Friday • Refund: 3rd Friday • Drop w/o grade: 3rd Friday • Drop online: 12th Friday • More deadlines details can be found at schedule.unm.edu – Deadline Dates

Registration Basics • Students may register online at my.unm.edu: • Student Life tab • LoboWeb • Registration deadlines apply, and restrict, self-service options. • Registration Errors prevent self-service registration and require authorization to override: • SFASTCA – error list • Faculty overrides • Yellow, Green, Pink, and Blue cards – overrides

Registration Cards • Not all errors can be overridden with a card: • Yellow/Pink: Closed, PREREQ, COREQ, TIME, Duplicate, Instructor Permission Req • Green: Level • Blue: Drop ISE, ISM, ISR • Cards can be layered if necessary to save the student re-acquiring signatures. • Cards may be used to add or drop. • Student signature required for any transaction. • Course Information is not always complete. • The required card varies based on transaction and deadline. • After Deadline transaction fees are either $10 or $75.

Yellow Card – Before Deadlines • Used to: • Change grade mode, • Change credit hours, • Change sections, • Override listed and Instructor Permission Req errors. • Prior to deadlines only. • No transaction fee. • Required signatures: • Student (always), • Chair (Duplicate only), • Instructor (Audit or other override). • FastInfo #2046

Pink Card – After Deadlines • Used to: • Change grade mode, • Change credit hours, • Change sections, • Override listed errors. • After deadlines, before the end of the term (last day of instruction). • FastInfo #2065 • Transaction fees: • $10 for section or grade mode change, • $75 for course add or credit hour change. • Required signatures: • Student (always), • Course Dean (always), • Chair (Duplicate only), • Instructor (Audit or other override).

  8. Pink Card – Charging Fees • From the Fees portion (bottom) of SFAREGS: • Options – SFAEFEE • Choose appropriate fee, M058 ($75) or M158 ($10). • Save. • Exit SFAEFEE and continue processing on SFAREGS.

  9. Green Card – Level Restriction • Used to: • Override Level Restriction errors. • Before the end of the term (last day of instruction) • If after last day to add then Pink Card is also required. • FastInfo #2063 • Transaction fee only if processing after last day to add. • Required signatures: • Student (always), • Instructor (always), • Student Advisor (undergraduate taking a graduate course), • OGS (see card).

  10. Blue Card – Drop Introductory • Used to drop Introductory Studies (ISE/ISM/ISR 100) courses. • Use drop code appropriate for date submitted. • The advisor will mark the Introductory Studies course(s) to drop. • No transaction fee. • Required signatures: • Student (always), • UCAC Advisor (always). • Only UCAC Advisors are authorized to sign. • May be submitted with a Yellow Card to switch section. • FastInfo #5119

  11. Yellow Card – Withdrawals • Used to Withdraw after 12th week. • No transaction fee. • Required signatures: • Student (always), • Student’s Dean (always). • FastInfo #2046 • This may also be used to drop courses prior to the 12th week if a student can’t access their LoboWeb account due to a hold or other issue. In this case, the Dean’s signature is not required.

  12. Enrollment Authorization – After the Term • This form is used by students to add or change course information after the term. • They are normally processed within a business day of receipt. • NOTE: Once it is given to the professor, the student can no longer handle it since it has a grade.

  13. Enrollment Authorization – After the Term • All sections must be complete (signatures, dates, course info, etc). • Form will generate a Late Transaction Fee, either $10 or $75 depending on transaction. • Once the instructor has added the grade, the student can no longer handle the form.

Registration SOP • Before attempting registration, verify: • Student has signed and dated card, • Information is legible, • Sufficient course information is listed (Term/CRN or Term/Dept/Course/Sec), • Correct card for transaction. • Attempt to process registration on SFAREGS: • Enter Term and UNM ID in Key Block • Next Block • If there are holds, review them with the student.   15. Registration SOP • Enter new course info on the next blank line: • CRN or • Subject, Course, Section • Or select existing course to be changed. • Is student ELigible to register? • If status is SW, it must be changed to EL. • Next Block FI #4060, #4168 for Error Message FAQ

Registration SOP • Is this a variable credit course? • Enter hours requested by student. • No fractions. • Credit and Bill Hours must match. • Note hours entered on card. • Are you changing the grade mode? • Select from Audit, Credit/No Credit, or standard options only. • If a mode isn’t listed then it is not available.

Registration SOP • Save the transaction(s). • If there are errors: • Verify correct override authority, signature(s) is present on card, • If so, enter a “Y” in the Over column, • Save and repeat as needed. • Are you dropping a section? • Select the appropriate drop code from the list. • DD should only be used for a section change or for a section never successfully registered.   18. Registration SOP • Save the transaction(s). • If there are no other errors you will be moved to the Fee Assessment block. • Accept the default Fee Assessment. • Save again. • Click on OK if Fee Assessment popup appears. • Rollback or Tab to return to Key Block.

  19. Registration SOP • Date stamp the card and highlight any change to level, grade mode, or credit hours. • Cards are filed at MVH for the current term(s) and in the Records Vault for the previous year. • Permissible exceptions to signature and card authority: • No override marked on card but instructor signed then Closed or Instructor Permission Required ok to override. • If all prerequisites can be confirmed as successful (transcript or repeat), then ok to override.

  20. Registration SOP – Prereq Check • If the student receives a PREREQ error and claims to have the required prerequisite(s): • SSAPREQ to find all required prerequisites. • SHASUBJ – Subject GPA tab to see if the student does, or does not have them. UNM and transfer work will be listed. • If prerequisites are missing, or transfer work should apply, the student should be referred to the department offering the section for an override.

  21. Other Useful Information • Which error did the student receive? Look on SFASTCA. • If the student has questions about meeting a pre-requisite, they should see their Academic Advisor. • Overrides that have been granted to the student by the Instructor or Department can be found on SFASRPO.

  22. Things to Remember • FastInfo includes answers related to each registration card. • Most of the Registration forms are available at registrar.unm.edu/forms.htm • Security Role you will need to process: • Registration Processor
