YOUR FINAL GRADE • Your first midterm: max. 100 points • Your second midterm: max. 100 points • Your final exam: max. 100 points • Your extra credit work: max. 12 points These points will be added up, and divided by 3. That number will be your preliminary final grade. Your class participation will determine your ultimate final grade.

  4. FINAL GRADES 100-90 = A 89-80 = B 79-70 = C 69-60 = D 59- 0 = F

  5. Calculating your final grade Step 1: All your points will be added up, and divided by 3. This number is your preliminary final grade. Step 2: The number will be evaluated in terms of your class participation. If your grade is borderline (69.0-69.9, 79.0-79.9 or 89.0-89.9), and you have been active in class, it may be upgraded. Details will be explained in class.
