  3. Andrew Carnegie- was a steel manufacture and Philanthropist. He was one of the most remarkable foreign-born Americans. Carnegie became very rich. But he gave millions of dollars to schools to help them.

  4. John D. Rockefeller- was at one time the worlds richest man. He made all his money in the oil business. Before he passed away he pasted he became a great philanthropist. Many things have been written about Rockefeller.

  5. Samuel Gompers- was born in London,England. He was also an American labor leader. In 1863 he accompanied his family to New York city. There he become very active in the social club. He also became a member of the Cigar Makers international union in 1864.

  6. Alexander G. Bell-invented the telephone. Bell was 27 years old when he worked out the principle of transmitting speech. The telegraph had been invented before Bell’s time.

  7. Thomas Edison-invented the first electric lamp the phonograph, the carbon telephone transmitter. And the motion- picture projector. Plus he made the first ever industrial reasherch laboratory.

  8. Henry Bessemer-invented something called the Bessemer Process of converting pig iron to steel. Bessemer was born in heart ford shire.in 1830 He established business that financed experiments leading to his invention.

  9. Theodore Roosevelt-he was the 26th president.He was an author ,explorer ,and amateur soldier.He made the presidency a more powerful office.Roosevelt was born in New York city on Oct.27,1858.

  10. Upton Sinclair-an American writer and reformer.Also an idealistic super for socialism.He also became famous as a muckraker.Sinclair also wrote several notification books.

  11. W.E.B. Du Boise-he was a very important part of history.He was a leader of African American protest in the united states.He was also the first one to express the idea of pan Pan-africisim.He was born in New York city.

  12. Booker T. Washington-an American educator.He urged blacks to attempt to uplift themselves .Through educational attempts and economic advancement.He was born April 15,1856.
