Whether it's football season and your husband invited his buddies over or you simply want to spend watching your favorite sport on TV with friends or family, it's a time that calls for good snacks -something not too light or too heavy. Win or lose, here are easy to make snack recipes that are all winners!

  3. Sweet Mustard Chicken Wings What you need: 2 1/4 kilograms chicken wings, cut into thirds and tips discarded 2 cups brown sugar 1 cup yellow mustard 1/4 cup soy sauce Combine brown sugar, mustard and soy sauce in a bowl. Stir to combine ingredients well. Transfer about 1/4 of the mixture in a small bowl (for basting), cover and refrigerate. Pour the remaining marinade in a large, re-sealable plastic bag. Place wings in the bag, shake to coat and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. When ready, transfer wings to a baking sheet. Discard excess marinade. Bake in a pre-heated oven (375 degrees F) for 30 minutes, basting with reserved marinade every 10 minutes.

Tropical Spice Popcorn What you need: 1 lime, zested and juiced 1/2 cup popcorn kernels, freshly-popped 1/4 cup sriracha sauce 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted 1/2 teaspoon salt Sprinkle lime zest and salt over freshly-popped popcorn. In a small bowl, mix together lime juice, sriracha sauce and unsalted butter. Drizzle over popcorn, toss to coat and serve.

Quick Corn Fritters What you need: 1 egg 1 can whole corn kernel 4 cups vegetable oil (for frying) 2 cups water 3/4 cup potato pancake mix 1/4 cup milk 1 pinch ground black pepper Mix together egg, water and pepper in a mixing bowl. Add pancake mix and milk, stir until ingredients are well-combined. Stir in corn. Let stand until firm, about 10 minutes. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Cook tablespoon-fuls of the mixture, flipping once when bottom is golden brown. Drain fritters on paper towels.

Baked Chili and Cheese What you need: 12 jalapeno peppers, halved lengthwise and seeded 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened 1/4 cup panko bread crumbs Cooking spray Fill each pepper with half cream cheese and half cheddar cheese. Top with bread crumbs. Arrange the peppers in a baking sheet coated with cooking spray and bake in a pre-heated oven (400 degrees F) for 20 minutes, or until jalapenos are tender and cheese has melted.

Game Night Taco Dip What you need: 1 cup cream cheese, softened 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese 1/3 cup salsa 3/4 teaspoon taco seasoning mix Mix together cream cheese, salsa and taco seasoning mix. Top with cheddar cheese. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Stir before serving. Serve with chips.
