Lessons Learned • The key critical steps that would really lead to full engagement by physicians are: • Discover a common purpose • Adopt an engaging style and talk about rewards • Reframe values and beliefs to turn physicians into partners, not customers • Segment the engagement plan and provide education • Use “engaging” improvement methods by using data • Show courage and provide backup all the way to the board
