  1. Use WordArt to create Title Banner Higgins Newsletter Written By: Kevin McLaughlin Date - Cluster Name - Homeroom Create a Text Box for Sports News Remember that each news article has a title that is a little larger than the normal text, and it is often in Bold. Write about any sporting event that you want to. It can be about a professional sports team (except the Yankees), or it can be about any youth, middle school, or high school sport team or game. Your Book Review Create a space to review a favorite book. It can be about any book that you have ever read. Please remember to include your favorite character or characters. What happened in the story, and your favorite part. Try to tell why you think that this book is good for someone else to read also. Your Movie Review Create a space to review a favorite movie. It can be about any movie that you have seen. Please remember to include your favorite character or characters. What happened in the story, and your favorite part. Try to tell why you think that this movie is good for someone else to read also. Use only movies that have a G PG or PG13 Rating. You can even include a picture. Lunch Include either a lunch menu, or tell me what makes a great school lunch. This can even be a review of lunch. Remember all reviews are not good. You can tell me about a lunch that you don’t like, but please be kind. In this exercise you will be creating a newsletter of your own using Microsoft Word. You will be using Word Art, Text Boxes, and Graphics. Your newsletter needs to fit on one page, have different columns, and appropriate graphics (you can’t just fill the page with pictures and call it finished). Your font needs to be TIMES NEW ROMAN or ARIEL size 12. Remember what you see here is just an example.

  3. To create a text box: First click insert on the gray menu bar. Then click Text Box Then choose where you want your text box and while holding the left button you drag a box on your document.

  4. You can select more than one box by pressing the shift key while you hi-light the box you want to work with. You will probably want to keep your boxes together. One way to do this is by grouping them. To do this Click the right-button on your mouse and clickGrouping Then clickGroup
