The APICS Chapter Excellence Awards: Professional Chapter The APICS Chapter Excellence Award honors the dedication and inspiration that propels chapter leadership to imagine and shape a chapter’s future. The APICS Chapter Excellence Award recognizes four outstanding APICS Professional Chapters who navigated the changing professional and volunteer landscape and shaped their future in the vital areas: Membership Development, Training Development, Chapter Development, Digital Engagement and Student Engagement. These awards will be presented on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at the APICS Global Partner Summit in Las Vegas, NV.

Introducing the Outstanding Student Chapter Excellence Award! • The APICS Student Chapter Excellence Award honors the extraordinary effort and performance of students to drive the development of future professionals. • A student chapter exemplifies excellence through: • Successful chapter administration that meets or exceeds APICS Student Chapter Performance Standards; and • Activities that emphasize students’ professional skills and bring awareness to supply chain’s positive impact in their communities. • The inaugural APICS Student Chapter Excellence Award will be presented on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at APICS Global Partner Summit in Las Vegas, NV.

APICS Chapter Excellence Awards With the Chapter Excellence Award, we honor APICS North American chapters that elevate the future of the supply chain profession by innovatively serving their members, market and communities. In 2019, we are delighted to introduce the Outstanding Student Chapter Award! outstanding performance in membership engagement, retention, and/or services focused on elevating the member experience. exceptional performance in training services and/or training business development, with a focus on CPIM, CLTD, CSCP. distinguished performance in chapter leadership, growth, governance and/or innovation in streamlining administration. eminent performance in developing a successful, digital engagement initiative, with the aim of fostering chapter growth and revitalization. extraordinary performance in the chapter administration and in the development of future professionals through outstanding engagement in the supply chain management community.   6. Chapter Excellence Awards Categories and Selection Criteria • Submission shall describe the activities of an entire chapter year (e.g., Jul 1 – June 30). • *For student chapters, submission shall describe the activities of an entire chapter academic year • (e.g., Aug 1 – June 30).

  8. Overview: Nomination, Decision and Award July 15, 2019 August 1, 2019 September 15, 2019 *The Award Committee is comprised of 3 volunteer leaders (PDC, CDS and SMS Chairs), as well as 3 members of the APICS Global Channels staff.

  9. How is a chapter nominated and selected? • APICS Professional Chapters: A chapter officer or other individual may nominate a chapter by completing the APICS Chapter Excellence Awards Nomination Form • APICS Student Chapters: A professional chapter sponsor or an academic advisor may nominate a student chapter by completing the student chapter section of the APICS Chapter Excellence Awards Nomination Form • All nominations must be received by July 15, 2019. • Recipients will be notified by August 1, 2019. • The Partner Development Committee Leadership team will review all nominations and make recommendations to ASCM HQ for selection.

Recognizing Chapter Community Excellence • Peer Recognition at ASCM 2019 • The Chapter Excellence Awards will be presented during the Global Channel Summit in Las Vegas on Sunday, September 15, 2019 (the day before the start of ASCM 2019) • Chapter winners will be celebrated by volunteer leaders, the global channel partner community, representatives from the ASCM Board of Directors and ASCM staff. • Please note that a chapter officer should be present to accept the award. A moderate travel stipend may also be awarded, based on chapter size and financial need. • Digital Recognition to Enhance the Winning Chapters Online Presence • An electronic badge that may be placed on the chapter website and other appropriate social media outlets (LinkedIn). • A quote from ASCM Headquarters to use in the winning chapters press releases and social media posts, extolling the achievements of the APICS chapter award recipients.
