  4. Availability • Call or e-mail me 2 times a week to keep me up to date with … • Phone changes • Days available to work • Vacations • Appointments

  5. The Assigning Process • Skills evaluations • Client orientation • Client Interview • Drug Screen • Background check

  6. Employment Classifications • Full Time - More than 35 hours per week. • Part Time – Less than 35 hours per week. • Seasonal – Assignment that is usually not more than four (4) months. • Pay rolled associate - One who is paid through The Lee Group at the request of our client.

  7. Expectations • QUALITY • We need to keep open lines of communication. Office Hours Monday – Friday 8 – 5:30 420-8011

  8. Conduct While on Assignment • Visitors - Associates are not allowed to have friends or family visit them while at work. • Personal Calls • Cell – Must be turned completely off while on the job. • Emergency calls are to be directed to your Staffing Manager and he/she will then contact you at work. • Personal Appointments - Appointments are to be scheduled around work hours if at all possible. Appointments must be approved by your client supervisor and your Lee Group Staffing Manager at least one week prior. • E-mail - As business property, associates do not have any personal privacy rights in any material created, received or sent from the e-mail system.

  9. Attendance • Present and Prompt If you are going to be late or absent, I need as much notice as possible. • Leaving Work Early If you must leave work during the day, your Staffing Manager must be notified as far in advance as possible.

  10. Performance Evaluations We are committed to giving you feedback on your performance. • Verbal • Written • In Person • Arrival Call • Mid-day Quality Call • Continued Performance Calls

  11. Leaving A Job • ALWAYS CALL ME! • Unhappy on current assignment • Accept another position • NEVER • Just walk off the job • Just stop reporting to work

  12. Safety • Be CAREFUL and Be SAFE! • If you are involved in or witness an accident while at work, PLEASE, CALL ME IMMEDIATELY!

  13. Modified Duty Program • The Lee Group has developed a modified duty program that requires our injured workers to return to work on a modified duty status. • Failure to participate in a modified duty program can cause you to lose your workers comp benefits. • You will be notified, by a Lee Group representative, of the time and place to perform modified duty as outlined by the treating physician.

  14. False Claims • Filing false statements or misrepresentations with regards to a work related injury is punishable as a Class 6 Felony. (Code of Virginia, para 65..2-312.)

  15. Dress Code • Industrial – Dress with safety in mind. No loose clothing No jewelry • Clerical – Dress according to the advice of your Staffing Manager

  16. Safety Equipment • Shoes - Steel toe, work boots, closed toe shoes, rubber soled shoes, no heals, • Eye protection – goggles, glasses, side shields, glasses with side shields. • Hearing Protection – Ear plugs, Ear muffs • Hard hat • Gloves • Hair net • Beard net • Back Brace

Returning Issued Items • If you end an assignment and the client or The Lee Group has issued property to you (shirts, badges, safety equipment … ) the property must be returned to our office within 48 hours of the assignment end. If not, your “pay” will be held until you return the issued equipment. If the property is not returned the replacement cost will be deducted from your final pay check.

  18. Payroll • Pay week – Sunday - Saturday • Timecards • Signed by client. • Returned to the OFFICE by Noon on Monday. • You may fax your time card to 873-3908 • Payday is Friday

  20. Receiving Your Pay • Electronic Transfer of Funds through a bank or a credit union. Checking Account Savings Account Pay Card We bank with Wachovia and they are willing to offer free checking to anyone who qualifies.

  22. Qualified employees are eligible to receive holiday pay for the following holidays. New Years Day Memorial Day Independence Day Holiday Pay Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day Employee must have accumulated 480 hours in the past year, and must have accumulated 80 hours in the past 30 days, as well as, worked the scheduled day before and the scheduled day after the holiday.
