  1. August 26th • Get any handouts off of the back counter. • Copy assignments off of the board in your agenda. • Get a new sheet of paper ready for your bell work for this week.

  2. AoW Week 2 With your group, discuss the questions below. • What does it mean to do what is right? • Should you always do what is right? • Are there any consequences for doing what is right?

  3. AoW Week 2 As I read the article aloud, mark your confusion with a highlighter. On your own, go back to page 1 and begin annotating the first 4 paragraphs. (Use your resources to help you—Say Something page, dictionary, Annotation Toolbox) Be prepared to share you annotation aloud.

  4. SoW Week 2Day ONE Copy the following sentences. 1. The clouds hung in the sky. 2. Bob sneezed. 3. The rain pelted the park. What do you notice? Imitate

  5. SoW You should have noticed that all of these sentences are simple sentences. A simple sentence, also called an independent clause, contains a subject and a verb, and it expresses a complete thought. Simple sentences can also contain compound subjects or verbs.
